Stripping the Nevada sourced parts has begun. It's amazing the quality of the assembly and the familiarity of the design. My 61 MG has some of the same traits as the 41-46 Truck, making things almost second nature. My grandmas 50 DeSoto was truck like as well. The head lamp assembly has already been a rust challenge - some of the mount studs snapped off despite heat and liquid wrench so I'll get spares sorted. They are like a carriage bolt pressed into the stamped steel, not even spot welded. The turn signals came off no issue and now it's removing the glass and the trim before dealing with the desert and rust. I will try electrolysis again with all the complex curves and pockets and books and crevices. Funny the wire harness was in good shape and I bet this lamp will work (6 volts). I suppose we will see how it all goes
