Well well its NOT a 41 after all - at least the passenger door isn't
When one doesn't sleep well, one does research into life's mysteries. In this case the mystery is The last Project.
There is, as you may know, a forum for almost every interest on the web. in this case, I use the Stovebolt.com forum a lot to identify the truck.
There are years of data there - crowdsourced knowledge that humans could only dream of pre-web. I first signed up to help my late brother with his 46 1/2 Ton that he sold to a framer in Australia when we passed on the gift due to its size.
Now we are at 3/4 ton so 50% the challenge - ha!
Today's indicator is the passenger side door handle. Seems in 41 the key hole was in the center of the door handle and as seen here we are below, we are below making a 42-46 era door:
Okay so its not a 41.
That is okay since the 2AAF engine is surely a 216 and the wheel base and bed are for a 3/4 ton.
I will need to look at the trans and the diff tags to continue.
The Chevrolet manuals are handy by year : http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/#year
Part of the fun is the research!
